New Council Leisure Centre

One The Elephant will sit on the site of the former Council Leisure Centre, and will share this site with a brand new Leisure Centre. In June 2011, Southwark Council agreed terms for the sale of approximately half of the previous leisure centre site to Lend Lease for the One The Elephant development. This is helping to fund the delivery of the new Leisure Centre and was a decision made by the Council’s cabinet following a public consultation in autumn 2010.
